Persona 5, or as it's better known, Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 5 (this is a lie), is an RPG developed by ATLUS which originally came out for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4 on 15.9.2016. in Japan, and then 4.4.2017. in the rest of the world. (it took them a little)

As you might have surmised from the name, Persona 5 is the fifth (technically the sixth) in a series of games which are called Persona 'number here'. The first ever Persona game was called "Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" because it was a spin-off of the then more popular Shin Megami tensei series. (Today nobody cares about SMT) (except masochists) (please don't kill me I'm just translating old funny text)

The catch with persona games is that they're not just some boring RPG grindfest, they combine the grindfest with the second half of the game where you live your life as the hit protagonist of the hit game. (this part doesn't translate well)

For example, did you know you can attack AND defend in the game???? also your attacks have attributes!!! watch out for that!!! Items, yeah those exist. Friends help you battle (just like real life) (<<< ???)
